yoZ! it's time to blog again..hmm..ytd went to the bbq..quite fun la..chat chat..play cards and stuffs..i dunno hw to go ma..so meet up with simphuy and shaun at marine parade de bus stop den go together lor..oso meet up with xiao fang too..i hate going to parkway parade sia..ytd was lost..cos overshot din noe whr to alight..lolx..then alight at the next bus stop..some whr ard tg katong there ba..damn far from roxy sq..took the bus back from the other side..-_-..waste $..bbq alot of pple din cum..jiehan,suzhen,zehui,toh wee,jun pei,kengboon,john..so long din see them..din eat much fd down dere was hungry like mad when i reached hm..ate 2bowls of rice..lolx..went back hm at abt 11plus ba..going 12..actually wanna take bus hm de..but sure no bus de ma..wat time liao..den mom keep calling from hm..nagging me to be back hm asap..nt fun de..cos next day i gt project in the morning..if nt i sure stay and stray with them..alot of pple din go hm ma..den my dad went to fetch me then shun bian send yf home lor..damn tired lor..gt headache then nxt day 7am nid to wake up..nt enuff slp sia..
today went to do project..meet my frens at kap de mac..some whr near NP..we are going to visit a sch for special pple..rmb? im doing a project on tt..intellecture disabled..took my fren's dad car to tt place..guess wat? tt sch is located at some whr near parkway parade! omg..ytd just went to the same place..gt lost there too..-_-..still rmb the traffic light..and tt idiot bus stop..
ok..finally we reached! excited sia..the sch was like..located at a very deserted place..a place which nobody wld wish to go there..a place for the pple wif down sydrome and intellecture disable..this is the first time im going there..abit scared la..cos the pple inside are quite diff from us la..dunno hw wld they react when they see us..lolx..scared they will like anyhw grab us..when we reached there went to the office to find julius..a stuff there..quite friendly..then he brought us to one of the class tt we will spend the whole aft with..excited..pple down there are walking ard like nobody's business..tot they cant move abt as and when they like..as in they nid supervision whr ever they go..but things were nt as expected! me and my frens were so scared lor..they were over friendly..lolx..one wanna shake hands with me..den aft i shake his hand, he like keep laughing..lor! lolx..scare me..-_-..lata i will tell u more abt their toilet! one word to describe? SCARY..
ok..whr was i? oh ya..julius brought us to one of the class..today they are going to do social skills!! den we get to go with them :)..btw, this class consist of 5pple all elderly..but they dun look bigger then us..as in they dun look like old folks tt we usually see..their appearance is smaller than their actual age..den they behave like a small kid lor..they are easily contented..and very friendly too..being with them brightens our day too..although they could be talkative at times..hahas..they are all under medication to control their illness..opps..i forgt to mention..this is a christian sch..i rmb liao..is Christian out reach..
we were than introduce to the class tcher,thomas and grace..they are very nice pple..then soon we board the small crampy bus..damn lao ya..7 of us were squeezing at the back..at first,they are quite shy la..looking at u with big eyes..wondering "who the hell are u?" and "wat e hack are u doing here?"..lolx..i admit i was scared la..but i remain calm..but the purpose today was to know more abt them..tt's y we need to interact with them..which i thick is the best part! talk so long forgt to say whr we are going to learn social skills..PARKWAY PARADE SHOPPING CENTRE..lolx..we went there de gaint! to do some shopping :)..
Poof! we've reached..forgt to intro their names..there are 2gals..keng yin and teresa..i was shocked to know tt they are already over the age of 40! keng yin is the most high functioning among the others..which means she is the smartest! lolx..she is really smart sia..even though she is down sydrome..the rest are guys lor..over the age of 40 too..some of them very playful ar..lolx..gt 1 fellow call Ian.. likes to talk everything under the sun..lolx..i've no choice but to listen to wat he says..the things he says does make sense..but dunno why he is considered intellecture disabled.. basically, they can communicate using english..some even know hw to communicate using hokkien and cantonese..hahas..ok..they are going to shop for stuffs..actually oso nt much la..due to they budget..keng yin is smart lor..or shld i say she is sensitive to $ ? cos she walk pass something,she will tell us the price of tt..she knows name of an item, the colour of it and the use of the item..for a person like tt..i tink is quite gd liao..she likes clothings and she likes to eat apple,banana,milo..lolx..she is very cute and friendly la..Ian told me he like collecting stamps and ask wat's my hobbie :)..i ge xiao tell him i like collecting stickers..lolx..i really have no hobbies anyhw say lor..cant ignore them ma..so damn bad..he tell me to give him some stamps next time we come to visit him..he's quite sweet la..compared to normal pple..dun call me marry him! tt's a diff thing..he can be my ah gong liao..he communicates using english..nt bad sia..he speaks clearly..he likes to talk but he refuses to learn..tt's the thing..then i asked him wat is he's fav.fd..this minute he says he like eating chao guo tiao..next min u ask him is a diff thing liao..funny ar..lolx..den aft tt we went back to sch..it's time for lunch! i realised tt their food need to be cut into small pieces..cos they are senior citizens ma..small pieces of food will help them to bite and digest easily...today's menu: burnt cabbages and stewed eggs and tou gan..the cabbage really sux! tt person dunno hw to cook sia..i dun waste food tts y i swallow them down..i tink pple down there shldnt be treated like this la..at least cook a better meal for them..aft they ate,keng yin help to was all the utensils and the plates..all the utensils must be clean aft meals..there are no washer to help them wash all their stuffs..i tink is gd la..cos they can learn ma..better than to help them do all the stuffs then they will nv learn..then is aft tt they have to brush their teeth..we followed keng yin to the toilet to see hw she brushes her teeth..lolx..i have to comment on the toilet..omg is unisex de leh..den gt 1 guy enter..aft a while he grab my frens arm..lolx! heng din grab me..aft tt is our turn to have lunch! lol..im quite scared to use their utensils..cos is they wash de ma..scared nt clean..lol..den aft lunch,went back to the classrm again talk talk with the tchers and we took a grp photo and we bid gdbye..
i think that this is a gd experience for me..can consider to be social worker during holidays..hahas..i dun look like those pple who wanna do this type of job..but you nid to overcome ur fear towards them..but there nth diff abt them is just their mentality..today's trip is meaningful :)..may god bless them,amen..wow..i wrote so much liao..dun tink pple wld read ba..so damn long..lolx..i'll stop here!
